🎓 Training & Programs 🎓

  • A: We specialize in relationship-based, science-based methodology with marker-reinforced training that’s backed by science and rooted in trust. We don’t use force, fear, or adverse tools. Our training shows you how to get the real results you want without ‘ALWAYS’ needing food.

  • A: Dogs live and train with us full-time for 2 or 4 weeks, depending on the track. We tailor everything to your dog’s age, goals, and learning style—and keep you updated throughout with report cards and follow-up sessions.

  • A: Yes! We offer 1-on-1 sessions at our facility or in-home (depending on location). Contact us for availability.

  • Absolutely! We love working on advanced obedience, real-world distractions, tricks, and even confidence-building or behaviour goals. Let us know your goals—we’ll build a plan.

  • A: As early as 8 weeks old! We offer puppy-specific programs like Puppy University and Puppy Academy Board & Train that set the stage for lifelong success.

  • Yes—with structure and support. Our REACT Workshop and 1:1 programs are designed for dogs with reactivity, fear, or overexcitement. Every case is approached & facilitated with the utmost care.

  • A: That depends on your dog, goals, and consistency at home! Some skills can show improvement in one session; others may take weeks of practice. We’ll guide you through the timeline honestly.

  • A: Yes! We encourage owner involvement wherever possible. We’ll teach you how to reinforce the training at home and give you take-home support after each session or program. Our trainers go above & beyond to make sure you have all the correct and right tools to be very successful at home.

  • A: Nope! We believe in teaching dogs through trust, communication, and motivation—not fear or discomfort.

Our training is based on the principles of positive reinforcement, behavior science, and relationship-building. Tools like e-collars (shock collars) and prong collars can suppress behavior temporarily, but they don’t teach your dog what to do—and they often come with side effects like fear, anxiety, or shutdown responses.

If you’re currently using one of these tools, you’re not alone—and there’s no judgment here, our dog trainer is what they call a ‘Cross-Over Trainer’ and is extremely skilled in many ways of dog training. We’re happy to help you transition to a more humane, confidence-building training plan that still gets results. Most dogs learn faster and feel safer when we make training fun, clear, and positive.

🎾 Daycare & Boarding 🛏

  • A: TLC is designed for dogs who prefer more structure, smaller groups, or one-on-one care—ideal for dogs who don’t enjoy group play or are working through behavioral needs.

  • A: Yes! Dogs nap in clean, cozy crates or suites between structured activities to support healthy rest and reduce overstimulation. Crating or down time is part of our facility model and helps reinforce calm behaviour, recouping energy, relaxing the mind and the necessary prevention for unwanted behaviours; reactivity, dog-dog aggression, mounting, herding and so on!

What our down time is not, is your dog being locked away for all hours of the day! These are specific timed rest & relaxation periods based off each individual dog — some dogs can remain out the whole day due to their natural ability to rest and shut off throughout the time they are here but some dogs (like kids) need a designated rest time to prevent overstimulation from happening.

  • A: You’re parents are welcome to bring your own pre-portioned food, medications, and a small comfort item like a blanket or bed. We provide bowls, bedding, and everything else! If you are boarding with a lot of medication, please ask your parents to write a brief note with clear instructions for our care team.

  • A: Yes—we administer most oral/topical meds at no extra charge. Please provide clear written instructions and original packaging. Several of our staff are also trained and comfortable with diabetic medications or SQ fluid medication — for peace of mind we do have an on-call RVT service to administer any & all SQ fluid medication.

  • A: Yes! We offer a specialized TLC Programs for dogs who prefer one-on-one attention or are not comfortable in group play. Whether your dog is nervous, reactive, or just prefers humans, we’ll make sure they have a safe and enriching experience.

  • Yes! While consistency is helpful, we welcome occasional visitors. If you haven’t attended in a while, a brief reintroduction or trial may be required to ensure comfort and safety.

  • While we maintain an extremely clean facility environment, we get dogs can play hard—but we don’t mind! Your parents can add a departure bath or nail trim to freshen them up before pickup. Get them to let us know at drop-off if they would like this added.

  • A: Treats are only given with owner permission or as part of a training/enrichment session. If your dog has allergies or restrictions, just let us know. You’re welcome to bring your own treats for extra special care.
