At NYEK9S, we believe dogs deserve more than the basics. They deserve purpose, enrichment, joy, and above all, understanding. Located in Essa Township and serving Barrie, Angus, Alliston, and surrounding communities, we’ve created a dog care space that prioritizes individuality, safety, and connection.

Whether your dog is joining us for daycare, boarding, training, grooming or any other service they’ll receive more than just supervision. They’ll experience personalized care rooted in relationship, respect, and play.

We know every dog is different and built ourselves on that factor. That’s why we take the time to get to know each one — their quirks, comforts, energy level, play style, and emotional needs. Our experienced team of handlers are trained in dog body language & behaviour, dog to dog communication, stress signs, and group play management to keep every interaction intentional and safe. Whether we’re facilitating a playgroup or reinforcing basic manners, every part of our day is designed to help your dog be their most authentic self. And while we take safety very seriously, we also believe in the power of joy. At NYEK9S, playtime is purposeful. Enrichment is daily. Affection is given. We create structure that builds confidence, and we fill our days with learning, love, and a whole lot of tail wags.

    With well over 15 years of hands‑on experience in the animal care world (including mentorship from top positive reinforcement trainers, behaviourists, and veterinary professionals) we’ve seen the transformative power of thoughtful, skilled dog care. We’ve helped anxious dogs gain confidence, energetic dogs learn to settle, and shy dogs discover new friendships.
