One-on-one care for dogs who need something different.
Not every dog thrives in group environments—and that’s okay. Our TLC Programs are built for dogs who benefit from extra structure, space, and personalized attention. Whether your dog is a little nervous, reactive, recovering from a tough experience, or just prefers people over pups, we offer a safe, enriching option designed specifically just for them.
🌿 Green Tier Dogs 🌿
Mild support needs. Just learning the ropes.
Green dogs are generally non-aggressive but may be shy, anxious in new environments, or just need extra decompression time. They may be newly adopted, young dogs still developing confidence, brand new puppies in the world or dogs who are overwhelmed by busy spaces.
Typical traits:
Nervous around unfamiliar people or dogs but non-reactive
Avoidant behavior rather than confrontational
May benefit from observing other dogs from a distance
Uncomfortable in large group play, but tolerant around certain dogs
TLC Care Includes:
Calm, quiet environment with one-on-one expert handler support
Exposure to sights/sounds/dogs at a distance to build comfort & confidence
Confidence-building enrichment (e.g. food puzzles, exploration games, box-feeding, etc.)
Optional training add-ons focused on engagement & calmness
With continued support and consistency, Green dogs often build the confidence and skills to graduate into traditional group programs over time.

🌼 Yellow Tier Dogs 🌼
Moderate needs. Extra structure required.
Yellow dogs are socially selective or have known triggers. They may bark, lunge, or show heightened arousal around certain dogs, barriers, or while on leash. These dogs thrive in highly structured sessions with clear boundaries and trusted handling.
Typical traits:
Inconsistent reactions to other dogs (okay with some, reactive or uncomfortable to others)
Barrier frustration or on-leash reactivity
Known history of resource guarding or overstimulation
May have had previous altercations or warning-level behaviours
TLC Care Includes:
Solo yard or indoor time—no contact with other dogs or contact with SELECT dog companions
Visual barriers and calming protocols
Decompression time and behaviour observation
Optional training plans for reactivity, impulse control, or calm greetings
Experienced handling and personalized enrichment
Yellow dogs typically benefit from ongoing 1:1 care while working on their triggers through training or behavior plans. Some may transition to partial group participation with time, structure, and progress. Most integrated Red Dogs do not graduate from this program - Yellow started have/can graduate fully into regular service with time.
🔴 Red Tier Dogs 🔴
Significant behavioural needs. High risk or high stress.
Red dogs require dedicated one-on-one care from expert-experienced handlers or dog trainers. They may have a bite history, show defensive aggression, or struggle severely with new people, handling, or new environments. These dogs cannot be exposed to other dogs or new people without pre-planned desensitization.
Typical traits:
Aggression/Reactive toward other dogs or people (lunging, growling, potentially biting)
History of redirecting onto handlers or escalating reactivity
Fear-based aggression or past trauma
Medical or behavioural cases requiring advanced care
TLC Care Includes:
Private facility access when possible (no other dogs present)
Handling by senior staff or dog trainers only
Strict safety protocols, double gating, and slow transitions
Low-stimulation environments and short-duration visits
Customized handling plan in collaboration with your trainer or vet if needed
Red dogs may require long-term TLC placement to ensure their safety, comfort, and wellbeing. While group integration may not be a goal, we focus on quality care, enrichment, and a supportive relationship tailored to each dog's unique needs. Most Red dogs graduate to our Yellow dog tier after adequate time.
