1. I understand that there are risks involved in activities between dogs of any breed. When dogs interact they play with their feet, mouths and bodies where injuries may occur such as puncture wounds, scrapes, cuts, broken nails, etc. NYEK9S takes all and any necessary precautions to prevent injuries from happening. However, please understand accidents do happen, especially when dealing with live animals.

You agree to be forth-coming and honest about where and when your dog has attended any place that could jeopardize the health of the other dogs residing within NYEK9S care.

3. You agree that your dog(s) are up to date with all necessary vaccines required by law & our facility. (NYEK9S also accepts titre testing; this test will need to be updated yearly) We require: DH2PP (Yearly Distemper Booster), Rabies or yearly titring. We strongly recommend; Bordetella & Leptospirosis, but are not requirements. Please upload your dog(s) vaccination records under the veterinary information.

4. Any extensive damages occurred by scratching or chewing (exempting puppies ages 8 weeks to 8 months) to property while residing at NYEK9S for daycare, boarding, grooming and training will be at the owner's expense for the cost of the item(s) damaged. Example of Itemized list; Any beds, Cots, Bowls, Toys, Leashes, Primo Pads, Blow Dryer, Brushes, etc.

5. You agree to provide an authorized credit card to reception or through our online payment portal to keep on your account for emergencies and any services. Any and all payments will be put through the CC with authorization by card holder first. You understand that NYEK9S may reserve the right to charge your credit card for any outstanding balance(s) for any rendered services by your dog(s) have accumulated. If any amount(s) remain unpaid after 7 business days from the rendered service, NYEK9S will impose an interest rate of 7% per business day on the whole total - until the bill is paid in FULL.

6. You understand that accidents can/may happen and agree that NYEK9S; Mallory Black or Jocelyn Black make medical decisions on your behalf for your dog(s) up to $650 - if deemed necessary. In the event that yourself and your dog(s) emergency contact are unreachable. NYEK9S will attempt to contact yourself and your dog(s) emergency contact - twice each - before or during transportation to your dog(s) veterinarian, our veterinarian (North Hill Animal Hospital) or the closest emergency veterinarian - depending on the situation. You trust that NYEK9S will make the best decision regarding your dog(s) well-being. You will be responsible for payment of the medical treatment for your dog(s) (and other dogs involved - depending on the situation). Additionally, you, the owner, agree to a flat rate fee of $100-$150 for a round trip to the veterinarian, added to the visit and medication expense, if your dog requires any medical attention for, but not limited to; ear infections, cracked toe nails, abrasions, hot spots, vomiting, diarrhea, worms, yearly vet visits, specialty services, etc.

7. You understand that NYEK9S reserves the right to reject any and all dog(s) that aren’t spayed or neutered after the age of 8 months. After 6 months of age an additional evaluation will determine if any ‘intact’ dog will have a $25 fee added to any service within NYEK9S. At 8 months of age the $25 fee will become automatic for each day or visit of the rendered service. Intact dogs pose a much greater conflict risk in any dog facility and require special hands on attention from NYEK9S senior staff and trainers. This fee ensures the coverage for these canines. At one year of age - regardless of behavioural outlook or veterinary requirements - any and all intact dogs will be dismissed via written letter until they are neutered or spayed. Once neutered or spayed the dismissed dog(s) can return for a FREE assessment to return into their NYEK9S services. WE DO NOT TAKE UNALTERED FEMALES IN ACTIVE HEAT CYCLES. If a female has had their first heat cycle they MUST be spayed before coming back for daycare, boarding or training services.

8. General NYEK9S Grooming Services: You understand that grooming services may or may not cause skin irritations or allergic reactions. You understand that there are risks that come with using certain grooming tools around moving animals and to be forthcoming if your dog(s) have any medical issues regarding their skin, so the groomer can make the best decision regarding your dog(s) health and wellbeing during grooming services. If your dog(s) pose any risk to NYEK9S grooming staff, services will be halted, you will be contact and your dog will be safely housed until you can retrieve them from the facility.

9. General Dog Training Services: You understand that when your dog(s) attends NYEK9S that they are constantly learning, as per our philosophy we are constantly practicing household manners. In some circumstances if you add training to work on a certain behaviour, your dog(s) may be taken off premises to gain positive real life exposure. With leaving the property or going outside the fenced in areas that may come with risks; communicable diseases, transmissible illnesses, getting off their leash, off-leash dogs, dog to dog incidents, ingesting objects, theft, automobile accidents, etc. Please understand that NYEK9S Lead Trainer - Jocelyn Black will take every necessary precaution and action to keep your dog(s) safe and comfortable while training. This includes but is not limited to inside the facility and outside of the facility. We will exhaust every resource in doing so. NYEK9S uses science based methodology paired with positive reinforcements. NO DOG(S) at any point will be punished, forced, yelled at, belittled, leash corrected, harsh physical corrections, etc for any wrongdoings at NYEK9S. IF for whatever reason we see you or any pet parent harshly scolding your dog(s) on or near our property, this will be an automatic grounds for termination from any and all services at NYEK9S. Please, if you see someone harshly scolding their dog, be proactive in letting us know - we respect everyones privacy and will not give out any information. Absolutely, NO DOG(S) will be trained with corrective equipment or methods at this facility. Any dog(s) that come for training or show up on the property with corrective equipment; e-collar, prong collar, choke chain, plastic pinch collar, front clip martingale harness, etc will be asked to remove it and/or it will be tossed out being replaced with appropriate training equipment at the owners expense.

10. Photographs or other graphics, sound, or other image, likeness, recording, etc., may be made of your dog(s) by NYEK9S. That such may be used for any purposes without compensation, and you release to NYEK9S all the rights that you may posses or claim to such images, likeness, recording, etc.

You, the owner, acknowledges and agree to the aforementioned policies and procedures put in place by NYEK9S for the safety of all parties involved in our services, especially your dog(s). You acknowledge and understand that, Not Your Everyday K9s Inc. is fully licensed by; Township of Essa and full coverage insurance by; PROfur Insurance & TD Insurance.
