The Brave Pup Project
A husbandry skills class for growing puppies — shaping confidence, one care skill at a time.
✨ What is The Brave Pup Project?
The Brave Pup Project is an 8-week, in-person class that helps puppies learn to feel calm and confident during grooming, vet visits, and everyday handling. Designed for puppies aged 14 weeks to 8 months, this unique course focuses on building cooperative care skills through positive reinforcement, shaping, and science-based training.
Whether it's nail trims, ear cleaning, or the dreaded blow dryer — this course breaks big challenges into small, positive steps, helping your puppy become a brave, willing participant in their own care.
🧠 Why It Matters
Stressful grooming or vet experiences don’t just “go away with age” — they grow if left unaddressed.
By introducing these skills early and kindly, your puppy learns that handling is safe, rewarding, and even fun.
Brave pups become confident adults who:
Accept brushing, nail trims, and exams calmly
Cooperate during vet appointments
Tolerate grooming tools and restraint without panic
Trust their humans — even in unfamiliar situations
🛁 What Your Puppy Will Learn
Each week, your puppy will be gently introduced to new care-related challenges with:
Nail trims & paw handling

Ear cleaning & teeth brushing
